To maintain current accounts and develop new accounts by creatively solving or improving their packaging. These improvements & solutions must lead to increased profitable sales while providing customer service to all clients and developing a mutually beneficial relationship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
Promote and sell all Laminations products. Provide quality alternatives and solutions to customers expressed wants and needs. Ability to understand, apply and explain value-added solutions.
Target accounts and particular pieces of business to maximize sales using assorted software.
Develop and maintain Focus 21 customer target list. Maintain current, qualified list of prospective customers within territory.
Set goals with sales management using a qualified list of prospects and personal wants or needs. Goals should include top five target accounts and a plan to penetrate each prospect. Goals should be established one time per year, with quarterly reviews, adjustments, and feedback relative to attainment of goals by sales management.
Target additional business within existing accounts (may be part of goal setting).
Devise, with or without Sales Management, plan to fulfill customer needs. Solution should fall within GNC’s / Laminations' capabilities.
Apply proven sales skills and techniques to gain commitment from customer.
Communicate with the customer service to meet customer needs.
Represent the company on sales calls in accordance with core values and culture.
Follow-up phone calls to clients to assure quality products and service meet their needs and expectations.
Offer presentations and proposals to clients and prospective clients.
Develop relationships throughout all levels of prospects and existing accounts.
Foster future growth potential and nurture long term relationships with customers.
Handle issues that may arise such as late deliveries and poor quality.
The Account Manager must hold a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years packaging sales related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of different styles and methods of packaging products. Skilled in Outlook and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Power Point) for communication within GNC and with its customers. Must also possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodical, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Must also have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
