The Continuous Improvement Manager will be a new graduate who will manage all activities related to process improvement initiatives plus development and implementation of Continuous Improvement strategies in a manufacturing setting. This position will be an advocate for positive change and outcomes for all processes and provide proactive solutions to optimize production uptime.
Collaborate with leadership to identify and select processes or projects for inclusion in the organization's continuous improvement initiatives
Establish key performance indicators; evaluate current state, and propose future state goals and objectives, assist in implementation
Develop and monitor implementation of process changes meant to result in: cost or waste reduction, quality or productivity improvement, customer satisfaction, or ThruPut increases
Oversee process change implementation and track progress towards efficiency or quality goals
Oversee the work of a team that evaluates existing processes and identifies opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement
Coach lean tools and root cause problem solving at various levels of the organization
Share best practices with teams.
Perform other tasks as assigned including (but not limited to) OpEx, Quality, and R&D
Ensure a safe and healthy workplace producing high quality products
Education/Experience & Requirements:
Preferred: new graduate with major or minor in Packaging Engineering, Business, Industrial Engineering, Applied Engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain Management or related.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; willingness to mentor others
Capability in training and coaching others in problem solving methodologies
Strong project management and interpersonal soft skills
Ability in creating and executing professional presentations using facts and data
Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
