Our Vision: A unified culture that creates innovative customer solutions. Scope of Sales Training Program: - The 1 year Sales Training Program consists of 2 segments. The first 6 months is spent learning the business of corrugated. During this time, the program participant will spend time in Design, Customer Service, Environmental Health & Safety, Production, Quality, and Shipping & Receiving. The second 6 months is focused on learning the business of sales, and how Hood Container sells to its customers.
Essential Functions of the Job: - Presents, promotes, and sells company product to new and existing clients within assigned territory. Deploys a consultative sales approach.
- Utilizes leads, cold calling, social media, and professional networking to identify buyers and achieve first contact.
- Conducts customer on site value discovery audits. Conducts cost benefits analysis for the customer as it relates to meeting their needs.
- Analyzes customer products and applications to form an opinion on “fit”, based on: volume, commodity type, availability of supply chain resources, delivery zone, complexity, speed to market, level of service requirements, factory process compatibility, and economics.
- Retrieves all available item information to initiate the product development phase such as: competitor production samples, structural drawings, print cards, estimated annual usages, target prices whenever possible, the actual end user’s product whenever possible, background information on competitor’s shortcomings.
- Meets with management often to discuss progress on targets, prospects, sales cycles, new activity, intelligence from the field, mix, selling price, and budget performance to actual.
- Works to diversify portfolio, generate new revenue streams and lateral opportunities outside of the existing client product mix.
- Negotiates amicable resolutions with the client regarding aged inventory, AR’s beyond terms, complaints, rejections, contract proposals, and credits.
- Stays current on new packaging, new methods and technologies, trends, and industry changes.
Benefits: - Starting base Salary $60,000 - $65,000
