We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer/Production Artistat our Montgomeryville, PA Plant
Job Summary: This position will develop new creative and refine existing projects to meet the needs of our customers. The Graphic Designer must be able to work effectively with the customer to meet deadlines and other expectations in a fast paced, changing priority work environment
Prepare artwork to meet press specifications and communicate with vendors to fulfill production resources
Manipulate customer artwork to guide the customer to the most appropriate and cost effective product offering.
Generate digital mockups for prototyping
Formulate and communicate ideas for new designs analyzing customer needs and production feasibility
Monitor projects for errors, discrepancies, correct use of branding elements, fonts and prepress requirements
Build original graphics, 3D renderings, and retouch photographs per customer requests
Assist in maintaining database of all graphic assets: photography, illustrations, technical drawing, logo’s and final art files
Give technical advice to sales force, customer service, as well as, production
Communicate with sales team and customers to maintain project flow
Collaborate with production personnel to best maximize our current production capabilities in conjunction with current and future designs
Ensure the design area is presentable at all times, as unscheduled, as well as, scheduled visitors will view this as a key area
Accompany Sales Representatives, as needed, to present new designs and ideas to customers
Additional duties may be assigned by management
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Professional office environment with exposure to manufacturing area.
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Routinely uses cutting tables, hand tools, and digital printing machine

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Structural design knowledge and ability to “think in 3D”
Technical knowledge related to package materials, equipment, testing, and package development; an interest in machinery
Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, product layouts and production specifications, quality standards
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator & Photoshop
Knowledge of ArtiosCAD
Ability to create and use adjustment layers
Ability to create and use complex masks and paths
Overall understanding of the Flexographic printing process as it affects color, including curves, dot gain, maximum ink densities and gray balance
Working knowledge of spectrophotometers and platemaking process
Remain current on packaging trends and innovations throughout the industry.
Ability to work in a cross functional environment relating to Marketing, Operations, Sales, etc.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and timing is a necessity.
Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication is essential.
Ability to think creatively and analytically
Ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment
